Many renters feel that home ownership is out of reach because the down payment feels too far away. But in today’s new home market, the conversation may be changing.
Across Ontario, new build opportunities, builder incentives, flexible deposit structures, and HST relief may create a path for some qualified buyers to enter the market sooner than they expected.
This does not mean every buyer can purchase with no money down. It also does not remove the need for mortgage approval, income qualification, proper legal advice, and tax guidance. But it does mean that some buyers should take a closer look before assuming ownership is impossible.
